Laughter is...
Contagious Memories
Relieving
Enjoyable Silly

Exercise
Unique Funny

This video makes me laugh every time. Laughter and taking it easy is so important to our mental health as humans with stressful lives. It's contagious too, so spread it because you never know who needs it most.

Playing with time

What if you had the ability to pause the world just like you can pause a DVD? If time could stop people could become so much more productive. I could hit stop with the CLICK of a button and finish my homework and then click again and not miss out on a party with my friends. This power has certainly been thought of or wished before because two recent movies, Click and Harry Potter include it.But, if people played with time, our entire world would get messed up. Stopping time is a pretty selfish wish too. What we choose to do with our time is essentially all up to us. I could go on a run right now, go to sleep, get in the car and begin a trip. The possibilities are endless. Also, if we all had the ability to stop time whenever we wanted, we would be paused when someone else decided to stop time say at 1:00. Therefore would we continue what we were doing when they decided to unpause time and it still be 1:00? That must be impossible. Really time is one of the most valuable things we have. We, as humans don't live forever so its important to use up our time wisely because as of right now, we can't actually pause it.

I want to throw my computer out the window!

HELP! My Management Professor has asked that we use this computer program to take online quizzes and submit them for a grade. However, last night I could not figure out how to work the program. There is an access code and an access key and different URL's and passwords. It is actually ridiculous that I have spent so much time just trying to figure out technology which is supposed to be shortcutting everything and making our lives more efficient. I found out today that I was not the only one having issues with the computer program we needed to use. Some people’s suggestions to getting on were to hit the back button or to click on the button again before the error message came up. How was I supposed to know that! That is not how computers are supposed to work! I can’t just like read it’s mind. I think that sometimes technology is more of a hassle than what it is worth. I wish I could invent the supercomputer that never messed anything up, but that is kind of unrealistic. Computers really can mess up people’s lives when you hit the wrong button, lose everything you have saved or simply can’t troubleshoot a problem all of which seem to happen to me all too much.We really rely on technology a lot in our society today.

But, not everyone of my generation is technologically savvy. My Itom professor was like 70 years old and taught me how to create a website, I have no clue how he mastered that but basically I am just saying some people just aren't meant for such complex technology no matter the age. Why are we assumed to be masters at all technology just because we are young? Yes, some things such as texting and social networking on computer devices is easier for young people to tackle, but not how to fix a program glitch or even set up a program by following the confusing directions on the screen. Well, I just hope those computer genius’s out there can create some machine that will fix all these problems! Not everyone is going to be good at computers just like not everyone is good at math. As long as there is someone out there to help.

Just me

So today I ate dinner alone, I sat there looking around as people chatted. I wondered if anyone noticed that I was eating alone. I noticed myself trying to eat quickly so I could get out of there. I guess I was embarrassed? But, really I was enjoying myself. The voices and conversations around me blurred all into one noise and I actually found that I could think and be alone despite all that noise and the people around me. It was almost as if I wasn't there with them. Our culture is so busy and has us always surrounded by people that we don't really get to enjoy time with ourselves. And even when we are alone, we don't really use it for us. I guess I should treat myself to some more true "me" time.

Well, sometimes its not so fun to be alone especially when it seems that everyone has someone to be with. But, its for sure going to happen, so might as well be content that way.
